Bookworm in making
14 Sep 2006, met Huey Jiuan for lunch @ Bishan J8's Sakae Sushi. It was a wonderful catching up time though it was brief. The break from taking care of Amelia is always refreshing despite that I always miss her more when I am back home. Maybe it's cos absence makes the heart grow fonder. Must learn to let go especially now that the date to return to work draws nearer.Popped by the new Bishan Community Library to register library membership for Amelia. Wow, this new library is so cozy and welcoming! Do pay a visit when you are near. Definitely, the usual kiasu me didn't just make the trip to the library to make the new library card, I also borrowed 4 easy and colorful books for Amelia. Hahaha, she's only 2 months. Guess that it is important to cultivate this good habit of reading from young.

It is always good to start young. Read to Amelia more often, although she will be easily distracted...juz keep at it. Beatrice luvs to see the large and colorful pictures and she will always get excited whenever we show her a book. BTW, show it to her when she is less active but not when she is about to Zzz...happy reading!!!
huh so stress...now even a 2 mth old hve a library card liao heh :D huh but like so mani words in e sentences..thot we start frm single word cards when we were little :P stil remember last time we got tis mini library in e tv console..hey u can start a mini library for amelia mah :)
Yup, it's a great idea! Shall start a mini library for Amelia and "force" her to read. hahaha.
so...is that how yr family comes to have this 2nd sis that is like a bookworm.
Cant find her without a book by her side, be it chinese or english storybooks.
haha! yah hor..tink tats why ah mi likes to read books so much..eh esp romance books..muz be e overdose of fairytales durin childhood hehe :P as for me i benefit a lot frm e library too! sorta nuture my interest for illustrations heh ;)
hehe. guess that in order to be attracted to books, we have to start real young.
Therefore this will be a good for Amelia to start young as a infant..wahahahah
hehe.. yeah. start from young to cultivate the habit. i also bot lots of colourful books for nat nat. :-) Now she likes to 'read'...always like to flip the books. And remember to read to them in the most animated way u can think ok..if possible, incorporate some singing too! :-) They love it.
Where would be a good lobang to get the books? Kekeke...saw in Popular that these few pages sometimes can cost $10+ each. Maybe print from the internet cheaper... :P
time to get popular card! hee.. yes. popular has q a good range.. else MPH and Times also. but prepared to invest! cos sometimes they dun cost cheap.
