Amelia's 1st Day @ Apple Tree Playgroup
Today is Amelia's 1st day at Apple Tree Playgroup. Like any parents, we were both anxious about leaving our girl alone with strangers, fearing that she would burst out in tears, crying for us. Well, Day One seemed ok as she adapted into the environment quite quickly. Let's keep our fingers cross for the rest of the week, or at least these few weeks.
We chose this playgroup as it is the closest to my mum's place and the environment looks pleasant. Had a couple interactions with the playgroup teacher previously and found that she was a bit too soft-spoken. However today's observation outside the class gave me a pleasant surprise. She managed the session well though tagging and pulling the few crying boys and girls back into the circle seem a bit challenging for her thin body frame.
Look out for more updates on Amelia's progress in school and a few backlogs on gatherings :) Cheers cos it'll be a wonderful new year ahead for all of us!

that's good to hear! Am sure Amelia will have no problems socializing in school. :) Is this a full day centre or just a pre-nursery for 2-3 hrs type?
It's a pre-nursery type of 2 hours. She started crying especially towards end of the classes and this morning too. Guess that the novelty of the toys and environment is over.
