Backlog: Amelia's Lunar Birthday
You probably haven't seen how amazing Chinese customs can be when it comes to all sorts of celebrations. For Amelia's Lunar Birthday which was dated almost half-a-year ago (didn't have time to share share, sorry), my mum-in-law had us going on various kinds of procedures:
1. Pray to god
2. Buy 2 gigantic kueks (with shape of a turtle to symbolize longevity, i guess and the other with peach form) and get Amelia to step on it.
3. Laying out various tools like abacus (to symbolize the child can count), books, pen and egg (to symbolize next time, ample food supplies) in front of Amelia and get her to choose impromptu. Hmmm.....Guess what Amelia chose - The abacus! Ha
4. Feeding Amelia with a big juicy drumstick which has some meaning. I think good food in the future maybe.
5. Lastly mee suan and red eggs to end the whole trial.
It was an incredile afternoon to learn about how complicated things can be but it was kinda fun especially for the sake of the child's future.

Larry: Kekeke....we did the same for Bee3. She was about to take the $$$ when Mummy pulled her back becos the items weren't placed properly. But, later she took the "Drum stick". Kekeke...greedy eh?
Hahaha..I thought we were the ones "dino" left. Next time, must replace these stuff with calculator instead of abacus, computer instead of book, egg/drumstick instead of burger etc. hahaha
