Baby's 1st Month Ritual
Being a Chinese, there are some traditions that can't be avoided especially for big occasions like baby's 1st month:
1. Maternal grandmum has to give a set of new clothes and leg jewellery.
My mum bought Amelia 2 sets of new clothes and booties - 1 white suit with a mini rose (so sweet) plus a yellow piece with an embossed cow plus the pink booties :). Along with this, 2 leg jewellery - 1 gold and 1 silver/platinum with the mini bells (Conventional GPS tracker. haha).
2. Hair and nails trimming.
It's a custom to trim off some hair and nails during this day but for what specific reasons, hmmm..it's a tradition lah. Some even shaved their baby's hair on this day but we have chosen to wait til later. Maybe at her 4th month and apply some hard liquor so that more hair can be grown. (If u do notice Amelia doesn't have much hair, hopefully more will come.)
3. Red eggs and angkus.

Finally Amelia's 1st month. Thanks to my mum, she help to clean the windows and table tops for us. Thanks Mum.
Of cos im not doing nothing as well. I sweep once, clean twice with the 'Zhi Duo Ba' then finally the mopping using dettol. Lastly and not least, both toilets to be sparkling clean. (My favorite cleaning area..why u might ask? Cos i like clean toilet)
Anyways it was quite a busy day for both of us but with help frm mum and inlaws, all went well for all of us. Thanks again to my Mum and my Inlaws.
wow... u actually captured the moments. :) I also trimed Nat's hair on 1st mth but dont remember need to trim nails. :P Its a wonderful experience isnt it? Everyday's something new. Watch out for more 'exciting' moments to come.. :P
